(Deaths Avoided with Nalxoxone)
McKinley Hall has been providing Naloxone kits to Clark County residents and many first responders since around 2015.
Funding through the Ohio Department of Health covers the costs for training and naloxone kits for individuals at risk for an overdose or residents who know someone who might be at risk for overdose.
The program uses many strategies to identify target areas that are high risk for overdoses. In addition to contacting the Project DAWN Coordinator to obtain a naloxone kit, the Peer Support Specialists goes to local city parks, barbershops, health fairs, and other treatment providers to train and distribute naloxone.
At McKinley Hall, we understand that we must keep people alive in order to have hope that they may begin to heal.
