PHILOSOPHY

McKinley Hall understands that addiction is a chronic disease of the brain with social and behavioral consequences. All major life areas are assessed as necessary. Abstinence is a goal for all clients with treatment tailored to individual values. In order to build social supports outside of the treatment they receive at McKinley Hall, twelve-step group involvement is strongly encouraged for all clients. Gender specific treatment is provided. Cultural differences and personal values are respected. Programs, services and length of stay, when warrrented, are modified to meet individual requirements.

Services are covered by Medicaid and many other insurance plans. Special assistance may be available for those who qualify. Clients are treated with the utmost respect for their confidentiality.

Certified by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services.
In Partnership with the United Way and the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Clark, Greene and Madison Counties.

OUTPATIENT SERVICES

Outpatient Services consist of assessment and counseling for clients and their families. Assessment services help the client, referral source and family members understand the extent of the alcohol or other drug problems, as well as the recommended course of treatment.

OFF-SITE SERVICES

Assessment and outpatient services are available in New Carlisle one day per week. A fulltime therapist is stationed at the Clark County Jail. A therapist is available at the Keifer Alternative Center.

SAVI

The Substance Abuse and Violence Intervention Program provides specially designed treatment for substance abusing clients who have committed acts of domestic violence.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT

Depending on client need, the intensive outpatient program offers nine to fifteen hours of service per week of treatment. It is appropriate for adults who can abstain from chemical use with the support of the Weekday Program.

RESIDENTIAL

Residential services are available to chemically dependent men who are unable to remain free of chemicals in an outpatient setting or need the intensity of this program to begin their recovery. McKinley Hall's twelve bed residential program includes intensive structured services and is staffed 24 hours a day. Family visitation is available while in treatment. Length of stay varies according to client need.

PREVENTION

Services include educational presentations and speaking engagements. Activities will be provided for children whose mothers are in treatment, by special arrangement.

DIMENSIONS/WOMEN'S SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

This program provides an array of services to women and their children. The focus of the Women's Program is to help women achieve abstinence by removing all barriers that hinder this process. Assessment, group and individual counseling, multi-family therapy and case management services are available. There are several specialized groups that include Trauma, Self-Esteem, Women's Issues, Anger and Life Skills. The program also provides supportive housing to both single women and women with children after they return to the community from a residential facility.
